Fireplace Installation Experts in Hamilton

CategoriesFireplace / News

Here at HAMCO, we’re known for being the Greater Hamilton Area’s most trusted heating and cooling experts, but we’re also proud to offer fireplace installations. Most Hamilton homeowners have moved beyond using a fireplace as a primary source of heat, but they’re still an excellent way to supplement your heating system, and they’re able to act as a heat source during power outages.

We pride ourselves on being Hamilton’s HVAC experts, and providing our clients with quality equipment and appliances is extremely important to us, which is why we only install Continental branded fireplaces. Continental fireplaces are manufactured in Canada according to strict quality standards and constructed from only the highest-grade materials by Wolf Steel, the same company that manufactures Napoleon gas fireplaces. Their gas fireplaces are reliable and efficient, and they can be fuelled by natural gas or propane. Plus, even if you don’t have electricity, they can still operate because they generate their own power. Continental’s versatile fireplace designs make them an excellent choice for any room, and they can be installed above or below ground without issue.

Although fireplaces are aesthetically pleasing and calming, they have several practical benefits as well. By placing them in the highest traffic rooms of your home, you can set your thermostat a couple of degrees lower and use the fireplace to keep those rooms nice and toasty. As we mentioned above, you can also count on them to keep you warm during power outages because they can power their own ignition, and from there, the gas does all of the work.

Gas fireplaces are much safer and more efficient than wood-burning fireplaces because the flames are contained, and some models don’t require a chimney, which reduces the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning from blowback. They are also more efficient because wood-burning fireplaces lose a majority of the heat they produce up the chimney, and this upward draft has a tendency to pull warmth from the room as well. While some gas models still require some form of ventilation, there are ventless models available for rooms that can’t accommodate vents, but Hamilton’s fireplace experts at HAMCO can work with you to find the best option for your home.
