How to Install Air Conditioning in an Older Home
There used to be only a few options for people that wanted to install air conditioning in an older home. Typically, it was through the use of loud, inefficient portable or window air conditioners that only cool certain rooms; or they could have ductwork installed throughout the house which can be costly and highly disruptive. Now we have the option of installing ductless mini-split systems, which provides efficient cooling and heating without having to open up walls and ceilings to install ductwork.

As the name implies, ductless mini-split systems work without the need for ducts. Instead, an outdoor unit (condenser) is connected to a mounted indoor unit by a small conduit.
