Spring Safety and Cleaning Tips
This weekend, the clocks skip ahead an hour and we’ll “lose” an hour of sleep. This unofficial start of spring will have many homeowners deep cleaning their homes and getting ready for the warmer weather. As you start your spring cleaning, take some time to check and inspect your home with our spring safety and cleaning tips.
Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery
The International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) urge homeowners to check their smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector batteries twice a year. To help homeowners remember this important task, the IAFC promotes the Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery campaign. When Daylight Saving Time begins and ends, take a few moments to check and change batteries in these life-saving devices.
Cleaning your home and tidying up outside can help improve indoor air quality and help keep your home safe and secure. From dusting bathroom and overheat ceiling fans to cleaning out gutters and downspouts—there are many important spring tasks that can fill up your weekend.
After a long and snowy winter, it’s a good idea to check your air conditioner. Make sure any debris that’s gathered around the outdoor unit is removed and drainage holes are cleared. This is also a great time to schedule yearly professional AC maintenance. A licensed technician will inspect the whole system to ensure it’s operating efficiently and safely.
During this time, it is also a good time to prepare your furnace for warmer weather. For the month of March, we are offering $99 furnace maintenance if you schedule your service using the promotion code: SAVEINMARCH. Book your furnace maintenance today!
